About the Scholarship Programme
The Aga Khan Foundation International Scholarship Programme provides a limited number of scholarships each year for postgraduate studies to outstanding students from developing countries who have no other means of financing their studies. Scholarships are awarded on a 50% grant, 50% loan basis.
Eligibility Requirements
- Citizenship: Citizens of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and other developing countries
- Academic Performance: Excellent academic performance (usually top 10% of the class)
- Admission: Admission to a reputable postgraduate program (Master's or PhD)
- Financial Need: Demonstrated financial need (no other means of financing education)
- Leadership: Strong leadership potential and commitment to development
- Age Limit: Generally up to 30 years for Master's, up to 35 years for PhD
